  • “An Introduction to Polymer Clay for Beginners”
  • Instructors: Members of altered art group.
  • If you’ve never tried but always wanted to, now is your chance.
  • Or, if you just want to learn some new techniques. Materials can be
  • provided at minimum cost or you may bring your own. We will share all our
  • tools or you can bring your own. Please bring a ceramic tile or other smooth, hard surface to work
    on, an Xacto knife, and a small, hard roller of some type.
  • $10/member - $15/non-member

  • “Paper Magic”
  • I.
  • Tea Bag Folding, Iris Folding, & Lace’ Instructors: Members of altered art group. Papers will be
    provided for these techniques. If you prefer to bring a paper of your choice, you can bring origami
    paper for the Lace’ and scrapbooking type paper for the Iris Folding. Tea Bag Folding requires and
    special paper that will be provided. Please bring an Xacto knife, straight edge, and a cutting surface
    (magazine will do).

  • Woven Paper Basket Instructor: B.J. Baughman Make a woven paper basket using ‘failed
    watercolors’ or comparable paper. You may cut your paper before the class into strips…1/2 inch is
    simplest to handle in the beginning (at least 18” long). You might also wish to bring your own
    complimentary embellishments (cords, ribbons, yarns, beads, charms, etc.) Many items will be on
    hand for your convenience.

  • “Techniques on Paper”
  • Instructors: Members of altered art group.
  • This class will present various techniques for achieving artistic expression on paper other than
    ‘traditional’ watercolor, acrylics, pencils, etc. Some of these materials you might not be familiar with,
    but include such things as: alcohol inks, stamping inks, embossing powders, Pearl Ex, Twinkling
    H20, Tyvek, etc. Many of these materials are rather expensive to purchase; but with a small
    donation, we will be happy to allow you to experiment with ours. We will also provide surfaces for
    your use, or you may bring your own.
