- This is a 6 week course that provides the student with the 5 Basic component
skills necessary to draw. These skills are the
- cornerstone of creating good
- representational or
- non-representational
- drawings and paintings.
- Students who have never
- drawn and those who need
- a refresher course will find
- this approach to be
- accessible to anyone who
- decides to activate his or
- her drawing potential.
- (No new students will be
- accepted after the second
- week)
- Week 1 – “Seeing like an artist” (edges)
- Week 2-- “AC/DC” ( A positive and negative approach to spaces)
- Week 3—“3-D Pictures, but without the glasses”! (values and form)
- Week 4—More on values with an introduction to relationships
- Week 5—What’s your perspective? (Introduction to perspective drawing)
- Week 6—The Gestalt of Artwork (realizing the work as a whole)
MONACO - BASIC DRAWING Liz Monaco has been a Palm Coast FL resident since 1998,
- previously from Rehoboth Beach, DE. Liz is a graduate of the Art Institute of Phil.,
majoring in Fashion Illustration and Graphic Art.
- She was accidentally introduced to color pencils when she mistakenly signed up
for an adult-ed class, thinking is was a drawing class, and immediately fell in love with the medium. Her specialty is portraits, either human or animal, and is available for commissioned work . Currently serving on the board of CPSA St. Augustine District Chapter and a member of the Flagler County Art League.
