ANNE CLAYTON THOMAS
ANNE is a native of Charlotte, N.C. she has spent most of the last twentyfive
years in Charleston, S.C. and Palm Coast, Fl. Where she has enjoyed
involving herself in the art scene.
She has a B.A. in art from the COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON and has
furthered her studies with many well-known watercolor artists.
In 1989, Anne served as Artist -in-Residence for the Bethune Art Center in
North Charleston. She also taught at the Gibby Museun of Art and the
Montessori Schools and found sharing her enthusiasm for art especially
rewarding.
While Anne enjoys painting local scenes and watercoloral florals, she
particularly enjoys creating oversized blossoms, done in oil, which were
featured in the 1996 Symphony Designer House in Charleston.
Anne was formerly a member of the South Carolina Watercolor Society
and the Charleston Area Arts Council, she now enjoys participating with
the Flagler County Art League.
Her work continues to be available at the historic Pink House Gallery in
Charleston, as well as several galleries in St. Augustine and Palm Coast,
Florida.

SUPPLIES.

Brushes:  FLAT  1" or 1 1/2" or whatever you have
            Round  #4, 6 or whatever you have

Paper:  140lb  Arches or a GOOD Quality paper

Watercolor Paint:  Bring what you have
 Colors:    REDS (alizarin crimson, cadmium red, permanent rose....)
                YELLOWS  (cadmium, lemon, ochre,....)
                BLUE   (Antwerp, cobalt, cerulean, ultramarine.....)  
                Burnt Sienna, Raw Umber, Burnt Umber, Perm Green, Sap green

We will mix colors and share paint.  

Miscellaneous Supplies:
            Palette (styrofoam plates available)
            Water Bowl
            Board to mount and stretch watercolor paper on
            #2 pencil.  Paper Towels,  Kleenex,  masking tape.
